Education Minister Receives UNESCO Delegation

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, received a delegation from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

The delegation comprised Rokhaya Diawara, specialist in global early childhood education programmes at UNESCO, and Farida Aboudan, specialist in education programmes at the organisation's regional center.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of Bahrain hosting a regional workshop on early childhood education in coordination with UNESCO and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS).

During the meeting, attended by the Education Ministry’s Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies, and Performance, discussions centered around enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and UNESCO in various educational fields, including early childhood programmes.
