Education Minister Receives University of Salford Delegation

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, received a delegation from the University of Salford - Manchester, United Kingdom.

The delegation was led by Professor Nick Petford, Vice-Chancellor of the University, and Joan Beattie, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Development, accompanied by Dr. Ebrahim Janahi, President of the British University in Bahrain (BUB).

During the meeting, attended by the Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, the Minister commended the partnership between the University of Salford - Manchester and BUB.

Discussions also revolved around the University's future expansion plans in Bahrain, with the Minister emphasising the importance of offering professional and applied programmes aligned with the demands of the job market.
