Royal Court: Ramadan Begins in Saudi Arabia Tomorrow, March 11

Riyadh, March 10, 2024, SPA -- The Royal Court said in a statement issued today that the Moon Sighting Committee of the Supreme Court decided that tomorrow, Monday, March 11, 2024, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Following its session here this evening, the Moon Sighting Committee of the Supreme Court decided that today, Sunday, the 29th of the month of Shaaban, according to the Umm al-Qura calendar, is the last day of Shaaban, the month preceding the holy month of Ramadan, the fasting month for Muslims.
After reviewing all reports submitted at its meeting, testifying that the moon of Ramadan was eye-sighted at today's sunset, the committee has decided, in accordance with the Hadith (Sayings) of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him), that tomorrow, Monday 01/09/1445 H, according to Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to 11/03/2024, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 1445 H.
On the occasion, the Supreme Court congratulates the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HRH the Crown Prince, all citizens and residents, as well as all Muslims on this blessed month, praying that Allah Almighty helps Muslims fasting and worshipping, with ease accept from them righteous deeds, reconcile between them, His religion may prevail, and His word be exalted, and that He preserves this country, its security, stability and prosperity.
