Saudi Arabia Welcomes Outcome of Arab League Meeting in Support of A Political Settlement in Libya

Riyadh, March 11, 2024, SPA -- Riyadh welcomed the result of a meeting facilitated by the League of Arab States that brought together Libyan leaders, including the Presidential Council president, the House of Representatives speaker and the Supreme Council of State president, whose goal was to lend support to a political solution that would lead to presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's unwavering support for all Arab and international efforts to bring stability and security to Libya, and emphasized agreement with any measure that guarantees progress, prosperity, and the fulfillment of Libya's national interests.
