HRH Princess Sabeeka congratulates SCW Acting Secretary-General on GCC honour

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), today sent a cable of congratulations to Professor Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, the Acting Secretary-General of the SCW, following her honouring by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Al Awadh was honoured by the GCC chief during a ceremony held by the GCC General Secretariat marking the International Women’s Day, in recognition of her wide-ranging contributions in many fields throughout her career. 

In the cable, Her Royal Highness conveyed sincere congratulations to the SCW Secretary-General on the well-deserved prestigious GCC honour, expressing pride in her national efforts and significant contributions across various fields of national action.

This affirms Bahraini women's capability to excel, in partnership with men, in building the nation, in line with the aspirations of the kingdom’s leadership.

HRH Princess Sabeeka wished Professor Lulwa Al Awadhi continued success in serving the Kingdom, confirming the constant readiness of Bahraini women to carry out their patriotic duties, under HM the King’s leadership.
