MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO AZERBAIJAN`S NATIONWIDE LEADER HEYDAR ALIYEV UNVEILED IN GDANSK
Baku, June 26 (AzerTAc). A memorial plaque to Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev has been unveiled in Gdansk, Poland.
According to Azerbaijan`s embassy in Warsaw, the plaque was installed in front of the building of the Polish Naftoport company.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan`s ambassador Vilayet Guliyev and Director of the Foreign Affairs Bureau in the Polish President`s Chancellery Mariusz Handzlik.
The plaque reads: “In honor of the Poland-Azerbaijan friendship. In honor of the bright memory of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1993-2003), the initiator of a project to create a transit corridor for transporting the Caspian hydrocarbons to the Baltic Sea, Heydar Aliyev.”
