Increased Production at Kumyagang Power Station No. 2 in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- The Kumyagang Power Station No. 2 is boosting electricity production.
The power station has fulfilled its production plan since its inauguration, thus ensuring the smooth supply of electricity to regional-industry factories, farms and residential areas in the county.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the power station in May Juche 108 (2019) and highly praised the achievements made by the people of Kumya County in their struggle for providing an important foundation for the development of the county's economy with their sturdy will, and showed deep loving care for them by solving all problems arising in the operation of the power station.
Holding fast to his on-site instructions as the guidelines for the development of the unit, the officials and employees are increasing the production of electricity while running the power station in a scientific way.
The technicians and workers repaired the dam and others qualitatively and introduced rational methods and valuable innovations into the operation of generating equipment to produce more electricity with less water.
The power station put the operation of sci-tech learning space on a normal basis to raise the technical and skill level of its employees, and put efforts into increasing the stability of the automation system of production processes and the integrated power management system in order to ensure the high water level and effective operation even in the period of water shortage.
The employees of the power station are putting spurs to the production of electricity with the enthusiasm for attaining the goal of electricity production set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea this year. -0-
