Potato-planting Progresses Apace in Ryanggang Province

 Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- Efforts are being concentrated on potato planting in rural areas of Ryanggang Province in the DPRK.
Officials in the agricultural field of the province are conducting a short course, passing-on technique workshop and show effectively and pushing ahead with farming operations and guidance so that agricultural workers can observe the principle of the right crop in the right season and the right crop on the right soil.
Agricultural workers in Samjiyon City are making progress with a determination to bring about a rich potato harvest.
Those of the Junghung Farm rationally allocate manpower to suit the conditions, in which different work processes are carried out simultaneously, while fulfilling their daily quotas and expanding the area under potato.
The Hunggyesu, Poso and other farms have also conducted a campaign in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them, registering high results in potato-planting.
The Taehongdan and Paekam counties have fulfilled their assignments by enhancing the responsibility and role of tractor drivers and potato sowing machine operators.
Similar successes have been witnessed at farms in Kim Hyong Gwon, Pochon, Kapsan, Samsu, Phungso and Unhung counties. -0-
