Bases for Production of Finishing Building Materials Consolidated in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Big efforts are being made in the DPRK to strengthen the bases for ensuring the smooth supply of finishing building materials.
Some factories and enterprises established new finishing building materials production processes based on raw and other materials available in the country. And Chongjin Wood Processing Factory and many other units are being turned into comprehensive furniture and fixtures production bases and tile production bases.
North Phyongan Province set Jongju City and Sonchon County as models and has stepped up the work to consolidate the production bases in other cities and counties by generalizing the successes and experience gained in those areas. As a result, several building-materials production processes were newly established or their capacities expanded to improve the quality of finishing building materials.
North Hamgyong Province organized demonstration lectures to ensure that the technologies of producing finishing building materials are shared and transferred.
Hoeryong City, Kilju County and other cities and counties are promoting the work for establishing production processes to make effective use of the locally available raw and other materials and for increasing the variety of building materials.
Similar successes have been made in other provinces, cities and counties, too. -0-
