Madi Hails Thriving Saudi-China Relationships 2 GUIYANG, China

In his speech, SPL-Beijing chief representative Mohammed Madi
described the varied interactions Saudi Aramco has with China’s
petroleum sector, including providing crude oil to meet the country’s
growing energy demands, its joint-venture relationships with Sinopec
both in-Kingdom and in China’s Fujian Province, and the procurement
of goods and services related to the company’s industrial operations.

Madi also highlighted the fact that the company continues to sponsor
a number of Saudi students enrolled in Chinese universities.

The annual meeting is organized and managed by UNIPEC, Sinopec’s
trading arm, to discuss developments in the refining business, to
link refiners with suppliers, and to address challenges facing the
giant Asian refiner.

SPL-Beijing was also represented by marketing managers Mohammed
Kadi, Fahad Al-Otaibi and Jefferson Lee, as well as public relations
manager Sophie Che.

UNIPEC is Saudi Aramco’s largest single customer, sourcing nearly a
third of its 2.4 million barrels per day of crude oil imports from
Saudi Aramco. Sinopec itself is Asia’s largest refiner, with a total
capacity exceeding 4 million bpd.
