20 investment projects cancelled in AFZ
ADEN, June 28 (Saba)- Aden Free Zone (AFZ)'s Administration g has
cancelled 20 projects in the zone for the lack of seriousness in the
implementation.
This is confirmed by Chairman of AFZ Abdul-Jalil al-Shuaibi during a
meeting held on Sunday and chaired by Assistant Undersecretary of
Aden governorate Ahmed al-Dholae'i to deal with the issue of
laborers required for the investment projects within AFZ.
The meeting dealt with topics related to creating work opportunities
in the future investment projects in Aden governorate through making
partnership between the local authority and AFZ and the private
sector working in AFZ.
Al-Shuaibi reviewed the AFZ's vision on the Yemeni labor employment,
pointing out that AFZ aims at making Aden a main center for
transport and activating the sea and air shipping for achieving an
integral industrial area as well as storage, trade and housing areas.
AFZ provided 6225 work opportunities and seeks to create about
13,000 jobs during the five coming years, al-Shuaibi said, noting
the necessity of information planning for depending on the Yemeni
qualified laborers.
