AL Egypt's Permanent Representative: Bahrain Declaration signals new phase of joint Arab action

Manama, May 20 (BNA): The Bahrain Declaration issued by the 33rd Arab Summit came signals the beginning of a new phase of joint Arab action, Egypt’s permanent representative to the Arab League said.
He emphasised the success of the Bahrain Summit presided over by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in addressing pressing challenges and issues and mobilising efforts to advance Arab cooperation.
In a statement to BNA, Mohamed Mustafa Arfi, Egypt's Permanent Representative to the Arab League, welcomed Bahrain’s initiative to host an international Middle East peace conference in the Kingdom.
He underscored the importance of the conference and setting a timeline for the establishment of a Palestinian state, stressing that the current situation cannot continue.
The Bahrain Summit signaled the joint Arab will to address political and humanitarian challenges in the region, Arfi said.
The Egyptian representative said that the Bahrain Declaration came as the result of efforts led by Bahrain to coordinate with Arab countries ahead of the summit, which has led to its success.
