IMCTC Secretary General Meets with United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre Director

New York, May 23, 2024, SPA -- Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi and his accompanying delegation met today with Director of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) Mauro Miedico at the UN headquarters in New York.
The two sides discussed cooperation, the achievements and initiatives of the IMCTC and their role in serving member states, confronting extremist trends and combating all incitement to violence.
Miedico lauded IMCTC's initiatives and work mechanism and said that the meeting contributed to strengthening joint work and building a strategic partnership that generally serves allied countries and the international community.
Al-Moghedi stressed the need for concerted international efforts to combat the scourge of terrorism, reject violence and extremism and ensure that countries enjoy safety and security.
