WB, AZERBAIJAN TO COOPERATE ON DEVELOPMENT OF SECURITIES MARKET
Baku, 29 June (AzerTAc). Rufat Aslanly, chair of the Azerbaijan State Committee on Securities has met here today with World Bank mission led by Michael Edwards, WB Lead Financial Sector Specialist.
Rufat Aslanly briefed Edwards on the strategic development of equity market in Azerbaijan, development of market infrastructure, and committee`s activity. He told of the joint projects funded by some donor organizations. The sides discuss the potential cooperation project.
Susan L. Rutledge, World Bank Regional Coordinator on Corporate Governance and Financial Consumer Protection told of application of world`s best practices on protecting rights of consumers in Azerbaijan.
The sides decided on implementation of projects for creation of the single trade architecture and building institutional capacity of the committee.
