ISRAELI PRESIDENT VISITS AZERBAIJAN UNIVERSITY OF LANGUAGES

Baku, June 29 (AzerTAc). As part of his visit, President of Israel Shimon Peres met with teachers and students of the Azerbaijan University of Languages.
Rector of the University Samad Seyidov said students here learn history, culture and language of Israel.
Seyidov noted Peres`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding relationship between Israeli and Azerbaijani educational institutions.
When asked by students about Nagorno-Karabakh problem, Peres said Israel supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
“No country has the right to occupy lands of other state. We support Azerbaijan President`s efforts to take back lands by peaceful ways,” said Peres.
Israeli Leader stressed the need to search for alternative energy sources, adding Azerbaijan is an oil-rich country, which realizes its responsibility unlike other countries.
Peres noted Azerbaijan has a good future because the country has rich culture.
In conclusion, Israeli Leader was presented with the photo album reflecting the activity of the Israeli Culture Center and students learning Hebrew.
