PM: Yemeni-Syrian committee meetings' results are distinctive

SANA'A, June 29 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar described on
Monday results of the 9th round of Yemeni-Syrian High Joint
Committee meetings held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, during June
27 - 28 as distinctive and practical.

The Premier returned home on Monday after an official visit to
Syria, during which he chaired the Yemeni side in the joint
committee meetings.

During the visit, Mujawar also conveyed a letter from President Ali
Abdullah Saleh to President Bashar al-Assad related to the brotherly
ties and the bilateral cooperation as well as the regional and
international issues of common concerns.

He pointed out that the meetings dealt with the level of executing
the cooperation agreements signed in the previous rounds, especially
in the economic field.

Focusing on issues of economic cooperation comes from the vital role
of this sector in enhancing the brotherly relations and developing
the joint interests between the two brotherly peoples, Mujawar said.

In this regard, the Premier noted the important leap represented in
joining Yemen to the Syrian and Jordanian Sea Transport Company,
confirming the significance of this process in developing the
economic relations and activating the trade exchanging.

Mujawar affirmed the mutual keenness of the two governments of Yemen
and Syria on promoting the relations level and the partnership in
the various sectors.

The Premier concluded his statement, voicing his thanks to the
Syrian brothers for their warm hospitality and brotherly feelings
towards their brothers in Yemen.
