KSrelief-Supported Volunteer Medical Program for Prosthetics, Physical Therapy in Türkiye Provides Services to 222 Beneficiaries

Hatay, July 16, 2024, SPA -- A Saudi-supported volunteer medical program provided various medical services to 222 beneficiaries who lost limbs due to the earthquake in Hatay, Türkiye. The program was part of the Saudi Hayat Volunteer Program for earthquake victims in Syria and Türkiye, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
During the project, 981 services were provided. Just over half of the beneficiaries were males, and the rest were females. Among the beneficiaries, 80% were refugees, and 20% were residents. The services included the installation of prosthetics and orthopedic supports, maintenance of limbs and splints, and providing physical-therapy services.
These efforts are an extension of the relief and humanitarian aid initiated by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Türkiye.
