New H1N1-infected case discovered in Yemen
SANA'A, June 30 (Saba) - Ministry of Public Health and Population
announced on Tuesday finding a new case infected with swine flu
virus raising the number of discovered cases in Yemen to seven ones.
The new infection is a Yemeni emigrant from Ibb province, who has
came from the United States.
Director of Combating Diseases and Epidemiological Monitoring at the
Health Ministry Abdul Hakim al-Kohlani told Saba that the man was
isolated to get the necessary medical measures and medication.
Health Ministry has announced before two days that all the six
infections of Swine Flue discovered in Yemen have recovered and have
returned to practice their normal lives.
Yemen announced the first confirmed H1N1-infected case in Yemen on
June 16, followed by four infected cases on June 17.
The five infections of Swine Flu are among the same group of 32
students coming from training course in the United Sates earlier in
the current June.
The number of the swine flu-infected cases was increased on June 23
to six, when the Ministry announced finding one more case.
The sixth case is a Yemeni girl, aged 11, from Dalei province
holding the British nationality. She arrived in Sana'a on June 22,
coming from the United Kingdom.
