AZERBAIJANI AMBASSADOR TO JORDAN GIVES LECTURE IN MUTAN UNIVERSITY
Baku, July 2 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasli has delivered a lecture in the country-based Mutan University on “Azerbaijan-history, culture, development in the modern period”.
The Ambassador spoke of the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and events occurred after the country regained independence.
The diplomat stressed the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in increasing Azerbaijan`s prestige in the world community.
“Thanks to strenuous efforts made by national leader, Azerbaijan became a regional leader”, he said.
The diplomat also added President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the national leader`s political course.
On relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan, the diplomat said President Ilham Aliyev and King Abdullah II contributed to boosting them.
He also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict saying the dispute must be settled on the basis of norms and principles of international law.
Ambassador Arasli also met with President of the University Abdulrahim Hunaiti to discuss organizing reciprocal educational visits, conducting exchange of experience and other issues.
