AZERBAIJANI, POLISH PRESIDENTS MEET IN EXPANDED FORMAT
Baku, July 2 (AzerTAc). A private meeting between Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Lech Kaczynski of Poland has continued in the expanded format after the two leaders were joined by their official delegations.
President ILHAM ALIYEV:

I once again welcome you to Azerbaijan. We place a particular emphasis on your visit. Today we have discussed a wide range of issues, including bilateral relations, regional development and international problems.
Our relations are strong and they cover many fields. We met several times at different events on the level of presidents. Your official visit - which started today and will continue tomorrow – is a brilliant opportunity to look at what we have achieved so far. Today our countries will sign several documents to strengthen their partnership. I believe the execution of these documents will contribute to expanding the cooperation between our countries.
Our relations cover a lot of fields, particularly the political, economic, humanitarian and energy ones. We have strong mutual understanding to work in each sphere.
Once again I welcome you and wish you successes during your visit.

You`ve rightly mentioned that we had met several times and that our relations cover various fields. Our partnership is very important and it has good development prospects.
First of all I would like to mention our energy cooperation, because it is of particular importance. We also have high-level political relations. Today we are going to sign several documents. One of them includes cooperation in the energy sphere, and will be a boost to our already existing cooperation. The other concerns political cooperation, namely the Statute of the Presidents` Consultative Committee.
