AZERI SPEAKER MEETS GREEK FM

Baku, July 2 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Parliament, the Milli Majlis, Ogtay Asadov has met today Greek foreign minister, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Dora Bakoyannis.
Asadov praised the level of the Azerbaijan-Greece relations, stressing “reciprocal visits of the heads of states lay good grounds for this”.
“President Ilham Aliyev`s February visit to Greece contributed to developing all-round relations between our countries.”
Touching upon Azerbaijan`s integration into Euro Atlantic structures, Asadov praised Greece`s support to his country in this regard.
The Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh was also discussed, and Asadov praised the role of the Greek chairmanship of the OSCE in mediating the dispute.
“The OSCE Minsk group has been working on the issue for 15 years. However, major progress began to be observed during the Greek presidency.”
Bakoyannis praised the level of the Azerbaijan-Greece relations.
She vowed to make every effort to contribute to finding a soonest possible peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
