Search, rescue works ongoing to find more victims, black boxes



SANA'A, July 03 (Saba)- The Higher Committee for Avian Accidents
announced on Friday that the team assigned to search, rescue and
investigate the Yemenia crash into the Indian Ocean is unabatedly
working to meet ends of the incident.

The committee indicated that the French team is after recovering the
aircraft two black boxes at depths reaching 600 meters, while other
teams of the US, Yemen and Comoros are tasked to retrieve victims
and airliner's ruins.

A statement issued by the committee noted that a team from the
insurance company arrived Thursday in Moroni and would start
receiving and responding to victims' families inquiries to clarify
procedures set to be carried out by the company.

It is worthy to mention that the French team notified the higher
committee on Thursday that the aircraft might be rested at 2000
meters depth due to signals from the black box they are receiving
over two days but the exact location of the plane is still not
identified.
