Yemen, EC discuss cooperation in air transport

BRUSSELS, July 04 (Saba) - Minister of Transport Khalid al-Wazir has
discussed with senior official at the European Commission in
Brussels aspects of mutual cooperation in air transport.

At the meeting, al-Wazir confirmed that Yemen gives more attention
to air aviations and safety, highlighting the recent practical steps
taken to implement periodical maintenance for the Yemenia's
airplanes in cooperation with the commission.

During the meeting the two sides agreed on furthering the future
cooperation between the Transport Ministry and the European
commission interested in civil aviation.

Al-Wazir also extended an invitation to European Commission
Vice-President and Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani to visit
Yemen and to enhance existing cooperation relations in area of civil
aviation.
