AZERBAIJANI VETERANS FIGHTING FOR LIBERATION OF BELARUS DURING WWII AWARDED
Baku, 6 July (AzerTAc). At the initiative of Belarus Embassy in Baku and with support of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, a ceremony of awarding the Azerbaijani veterans who fought for liberation of Belarus during the World War II, took place at the Training Center of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan on 6 July.
Department chief of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Vagif Mammadov congratulated the veterans on behalf of the Defense Minster, colonel-general Saar Abiyev, and praised their courage.
Representative of the Belarus Embassy Sergey Panasyug thanked the veterans for their courageous and glorious heroism in forefronts of the Great Patriotic.
Then, Panasyug presented to the veterans medals on 64th anniversary of liberation of Belarus from occupation.
