Union of Arab Jurists commences its 32nd Round


SANA'A, July 06 (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali Mujawar opened on Monday

activities of the 32nd round of Union of Arab Jurists.

Holding this conference in Yemen's historical capital, Sana'a, the oldest city in
our planet, represents significant appreciations reflecting the core of the union's
message and deepest believe of their affiliates of Arab nation and its unity, said
Mujawar.

He affirmed Yemen's stable believe in democracy because it is the most significant
principle in multi-party political system on which other values based, like values
of freedom, justice, equal opportunities political mutability and peaceful transfer
of power.

"Yemen and its unity are in good condition and the economy and development is the
country's priorities," he said, expressing confidence of the attendance's keenness
on taking care of Yemen and on their good reading of incidents and reasons behind
them.

For his part, Secretary General of Union of Arab Jurists Shabib al-Maliki said
establishing the union was based on responding to Arab jurists to employ their
potentials to protect national decisions, human rights and basic freedoms.

Al-Maliki reviewed role of the union in defending Arab nation's issues led by Arab
central issue, Palestine and its defiance to nongovernmental anti-Arab nation
organizations.

He indicated that the union affirmed human rights treaty in Arab World approved by
the United Nation and Arab League as one of their documents. The union also approved
Al-Sharq charter to Arab Rights in the union's third conference held in Jordan in
1985.

"Union of Arab Jurists' Permanent Office holds it meeting in Yemen, which strongly
faces all plots and sabotage acts … against its national unity," said al-Maliki,
adding that the 22nd of May 1990 was not only a fruit of Yemenis struggle but also a
serious national move towards Arab unity all Arab populations aspire to.
