PM opens bridges in Sana'a capital at sum of YR 10 bln



SANA'A, July 06 (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali Mujawar opened and laid

foundation stones for constructing several bridges in Sana'a capital

at a sum of YR 10 billion funded by the government and Arab Fund for

Social and Economic Development.

The prime minister highlighted the importance of these projects, urging to carry out
them on time in accordance with the agreed technical standards.

For his part, Sana'a Mayor Abdul Rahman al-Akwa said that 11 bridges have been done
and other eight are under construction.

Al-Akwa said that a plan was conducted in 2005 to carry out 25 bridges and road
crosses in the capital by 2012.

Last February, President Ali Abdullah Saleh inspected roads, bridges and tunnels
projects as well as the projects of improving the Capital Secretariat such as
lighting, greenery and gardens.

He praised the constructional progress seen in the Capital Secretariat, affirming
the importance of continuing exerting efforts to implement further projects of
infrastructure and improvement.

Saleh also emphasized the importance of cooperation of citizens with the exerted
efforts of the Capital Secretariat in this field.
