Establishing a Royal Tradition: A Legacy of Progress and Innovation

Manama, Dec. 19 (BNA): The inauguration of the Bapco Modernization Project (BMP) marks a significant moment in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s history, not just for its advancements in the energy sector but also in honouring the royal traditions that connect the past to the future.
In a poignant nod to history, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain cut the ceremonial ribbon using a traditional dagger (Khanjar), following in the footsteps of his late great grandfather, His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Ruler of Bahrain at the time, who performed the same gesture during the official opening of the Bapco Refinery on the 11th of December 1937.
This symbolic act celebrates a royal legacy deeply intertwined with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s journey of progress, reflecting a commitment to preserving heritage while embracing innovation.
