AZERBAIJAN BENEFITS FROM 18TH OSCE PA SESSION

Baku, 9 July (AzerTAc). The 18th annual session of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vilnius has become beneficial for Azerbaijan with the adoption of amendments for five resolutions proposed by our delegation. The session mainly focused on disrupting new challenges in security sphere and a range of organizational questions, Eldar Ibrahimov, Deputy Head of the delegation of Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) in OSCE PA was quoted as saying.
At the OSCE PA political committee session the Armenian delegation posed an amendment “Closing borders affect economic development of countries”, however it was rejected. On the sidelines of the session deputies representing the countries of the South Caucasus met to discuss regional problems. Armenian deputies showed certain indulgence in their position in contrast to the previous years’. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Ultimately, Armenians seem to realize that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan should be provided first of all, and other questions can be solved after the return of refugees to their native lands.
Also the OSCE PA economic committee session featured the achievements in economic sector amid the world financial downturn.
