AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES UAE FM SHEIKH ABDULLAH BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN

Baku, July 9 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE FM conveyed greetings from President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Azerbaijani leader.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised Azerbaijan`s development, saying much has been done in the country under President Ilham Aliyev.
The Azerbaijani President hailed the relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the political and economic fields.
President Ilham Aliyev recalled his visit to the United Arab Emirates and his meeting with President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan which, according to him, was held “in a frank and friendly atmoshpete”.
The Azerbaijani President also praised the fact the two countries mutually support each other within international organizations. President Ilham Aliyev thanked the UAE government for backing Azerbaijan`s position during discussions on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan held in the UN General Assembly last year.
The Azerbaijani President expressed confidence the visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will contribute to expanding the Azerbaijan-UAE relations.
President Ilham Aliyev asked the UAE Foreign Minister to extend his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
