BACA President meets Kuwaiti Minister

Osaka, Apr. 18 (BNA): Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Commissioner General of Bahrain’s Pavilion, met with Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs of the State of Kuwait.

The meeting came on the sidelines of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka and the inauguration of its national pavilion “Connecting Seas”.

The two sides emphasised the importance of joint Gulf cultural efforts in strengthening the presence of GCC countries on the international stage. 

They noted that the participation of Gulf states in a global event like Expo 2025 Osaka provides a valuable opportunity to showcase the civilisational achievements of the region’s peoples.

Minister Al Mutairi toured Bahrain’s national pavilion, where he was briefed on its architectural design, immersive experiences, and diverse exhibitions. 

The pavilion highlights Bahrain’s historical connection to the sea, drawing inspiration from the Kingdom’s maritime heritage and traditional shipbuilding craft, blended with Japanese woodworking techniques.
