UAE BACKS AZERBAIJAN`s TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY, FM SHEIKH ABDULLAH BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN

Baku, July 9 (AzerTAc). The United Arab Emirates supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity, the country`s foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan told his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov during a meeting Thursday.
“We want the dispute to be solved diplomatically,” said the UAE FM, calling Armenia to withdraw from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov hailed the UAE government`s support of his country`s position on the issue.
The Azeri FM also praised the fact Azerbaijan and UAE “mutually support each other on a lot of other issues within international organizations”.
Sheikh Al Nahyan said the United Arab Emirates places a particular emphasis on developing overall relationship with Azerbaijan.
“I think petrochemical industry and tourism are among priority areas.”
“We are going to open our diplomatic representation here in Baku soon,” he said.
FM Mammadyarov praised the Azerbaijan-UAE relations.
He stressed the importance of boosting economic and cultural cooperation.
“It is also important that we conduct exchange of young diplomats,” said the Azeri FM.
The two also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues.
