HM King of Jordan receives Interior Minister
Amman, Apr. 28 (BNA): His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan received General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, at the start of his visit to Jordan.
The minister conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with their wishes for further prosperity and progress for the Jordanian people.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah expressed pride in the strong relations between the two kingdoms, noting that the visit falls within the framework of joint security cooperation and coordination.
Upon arrival in Amman, the minister was received by Mazin Abdullah Al Farrayeh, Minister of Interior of Jordan.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the two kingdoms, under the leadership by His Majesty the King and His Majesty King Abdullah II. He noted Bahrain’s appreciation for Jordan’s policies in confronting security challenges and thwarting terrorist plots, and reiterated Bahrain’s support for measures taken to safeguard national security and stability.
He also commended the competence of Jordan’s security authorities in maintaining security and public order.
The minister emphasised Bahrain’s firm stance in rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, expressing pride in the strong ties between the two kingdoms, which serve as a foundation for continued cooperation and mutual security.
He also commended the high level of security cooperation and coordination between the two kingdoms and their efforts to promote regional stability.
On his part, Minister Al Farrayeh expressed appreciation for the visit, reflecting the depth of relations and shared security perspectives between the two kingdoms. He wished Bahrain continued security, stability, and prosperity.
The discussions also reviewed areas of security cooperation and means to enhance joint action and exchange expertise to address security challenges.
Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Jordan and a delegation of ministry officials.
