Bahrain, Egypt discuss tourism cooperation during Arabian Travel Market 2025

Dubai, Apr. 29 (BNA): A delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain, comprising travel agents and representatives from major tourism companies, took part in a workshop organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt.  The event was held on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, taking place from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates.

Opening the workshop, Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, affirmed that Egypt’s initiative to co-host the event with the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects the shared commitment to strengthening tourism promotion efforts.  She emphasised the importance of adopting innovative marketing strategies, establishing direct partnerships with travel agencies and tourism stakeholders, and developing joint tourism packages that combine destinations to enrich the visitor experience and meet evolving traveller expectations.

On his part, Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt, underlined the depth of bilateral relations between Bahrain and Egypt, noting that closer tourism cooperation would enhance promotional opportunities.  He also highlighted the importance of experience sharing and the implementation of joint campaigns targeting the Chinese market.

The workshop included a presentation on best practices in tourism promotion for the Chinese market, with a focus on understanding the preferences and expectations of Chinese travellers.  Discussions also addressed means to strengthen collaboration between travel agencies in Bahrain and Egypt to develop comprehensive and integrated tourism offerings.

Participants proposed a set of joint initiatives, including the launch of specialised travel packages that allow Chinese tourists to explore attractions in both Bahrain and Egypt through a single itinerary.  The goal is to deliver distinctive and diverse tourism experiences that align with the latest global trends in the travel sector.
