Shura Chairman meets Moroccan Speaker

Rabat, Apr. 30 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Dr. Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Morocco, on the sidelines of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum in Rabat.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Jehad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairperson of the Council, and Ejlal Isa Bubshait, member of the Shura Council.

 

Al Saleh underscored the commitment to enhancing parliamentary cooperation and advancing joint legislative work between Bahrain and Morocco. He noted that this contributes to strengthening Bahraini-Moroccan relations. He highlighted that the continued development of bilateral ties and coordination reflects the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

 

The chairman noted the longstanding Bahraini-Moroccan relations, supported by partnerships across various domains and established through decades of bilateral cooperation. He highlighted that the two kingdoms have made progress in development and that joint committees, memoranda of understanding, and agreements have created opportunities that serve mutual interests.

 

Al Saleh emphasised the importance of enhancing legislative cooperation between the two countries and recommended the exchange of parliamentary expertise and delegation visits to review recent developments in modern legislation in line with global advancement. He also highlighted Morocco’s role in hosting Arab and regional parliamentary conferences and noted the country’s continued development under its leadership.

 

Dr. Alami noted the continued development of Moroccan-Bahraini relations and the shared views and aligned positions between the two countries on various issues, particularly those concerning peace, coexistence, human fraternity, and tolerance. He emphasised that these positions support efforts to promote dialogue, security, and stability at the global level.

 

He also commended Bahrain's Shura Council for its active role in enriching regional and international parliamentary dialogue and for supporting efforts to establish legislative frameworks that build bridges of cooperation and integration, thereby reinforcing bonds of friendship between nations.
