HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad opens Bahrain Comic Con 2025

Manama, May. 2 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the sixth edition of Bahrain Comic Con 2025 opened today at Bahrain International Circuit. The event was attended by His Highness's sons, Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Khalifa and Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa.


 

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the launch of the latest edition of the exhibition, which has developed into a prominent cultural and entertainment platform that celebrates innovation and creative expression. He highlighted the importance of supporting young people and creatives across fields such as content creation, comic art, digital games, and pop culture.


 

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad noted that the success of the exhibition in attracting renowned international figures highlights Bahrain’s growing reputation as a regional centre for modern arts and events.


 

The two-day event, held on May 2-3, offers an immersive experience in comics, cosplay, gaming, and interactive exhibitions. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet several renowned international guests, including His Royal Highness Prince Fahad Al Saud, a leading entrepreneur and executive in the fields of technology and creativity; Giancarlo Esposito, known for his role as Gus Fring in "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul"; Isaac Hempstead Wright, who played Bran Stark in "Game of Thrones"; Dalip Singh Rana, better known as The Great Khali, a professional wrestling champion; Aisha Selim, a prominent Arab actress and voice of Ana Amari in "Overwatch" and "Overwatch 2"; Katie Leung, who portrayed Cho Chang in the "Harry Potter" film series and appeared in "Bridgerton"; and Katsuhiro Harada, the creator and director of the legendary video game franchise "Tekken."
