Young People Volunteer to Work at Major Theatres of Socialist Construction
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Young people in Jagang and North Phyongan provinces of the DPRK are full of the enthusiasm to fully demonstrate the spirit and mettle of patriotic youth in the theatres for the prosperity of the state and the happiness of the people.
More than 300 young people in Rangnim County, Jagang Province volunteered to work at major theatres of socialist construction and 200-odd young people volunteered to advance into the county construction brigade.
Among the volunteers are young people who decided to work at the raw materials bases of the regional-industry factories with the desire to glorify this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea as a year of achieving the feats.
More than 40 young people in Jongju City, North Phyongan Province volunteered to work at sites seething with the drive for increased production and economy including the construction brigade, farms and raw materials base stations.
Meetings to congratulate the volunteers were held on the spots on Friday.
Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials, youths and working people. Certificates were awarded to volunteers and congratulatory address and speeches were made at the meetings.
Officials, youth and students and working people warmly saw off the volunteers leaving for the new posts. -0-
