Bahrain parliamentary delegation call for action on Palestine, support for women, youth and children

Algiers, May 3 (BNA): A parliamentary delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in the meetings of the Palestine Committee and the Social Affairs, Women, Children, and Youth Committee, held in Algeria. The meetings were held as part of the 38th Executive Committee meeting of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU).
MP Zainab Abdulameer underlined the responsibility of Arab parliamentarians to support the Palestinian people, expose rights violations, and push for international action to end the aggression and uphold justice. She highlighted the suffering of women and children in the occupied territories and called for urgent action to stop the violence.
She also emphasised the importance of empowering youth and protecting children’s rights through strategic legislation, linking this to Bahrain’s broader efforts to support vulnerable groups across the Arab world.
Fatema Abduljabbar Al Kooheji, member of the Shura Council, underscored Bahrain’s commitment to empowering women and youth, noting national policies under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, that promote participation in all sectors. She called for enhanced Arab parliamentary cooperation to achieve sustainable development and social equality.
