Housing Ministry Undersecretary participates in senior officials’ housing meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait, May 20 (BNA): Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in the 26th GCC senior housing officials meeting in Kuwait.

Discussions focused on the joint gulf housing plan 2024-2030, shared housing databases, unified property ownership rules, potential agreements with housing-focused organisations, and the proposed fourth GCC Housing Week.

She also joined a panel on real estate financing, held on the sidelines of the third GCC Housing Week taking place in Kuwait from May 18–22.

Al Manai said the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has adopted a new policy since 2022, developing its financing programmes into six types of multipurpose options. These include Tas’heel, Mazaya, and the newly launched Tas’heel+, introduced in April. She underlined the ministry’s focus on public-private partnerships and innovative initiatives to enhance social housing services and offer citizens flexible housing solutions.
