Legal Affairs meets IOM Mission Chief in Bahrain

Manama, May 21 (BNA): Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Labour Minister, met with Aishath Ihma Shareef, the Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting discussed cooperation and support for global efforts to combat trafficking in persons, in light of the Kingdom’s successful experience in this field.

They also reviewed the Kingdom’s initiatives to enhance protection for migrant workers, promote decent working environments, and align national legislation with international labour standards and human rights principles.
