Shura Chairman receives outgoing Palestinian Ambassador

Manama, May 22 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Taha Mohammed Abdel Qader, the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine.
Al Saleh highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause and upholding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He underlined Bahrain’s dedication, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to promoting cooperation and joint efforts towards the two-state solution, following the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
The Chairman highlighted the ambassador's efforts in enhancing ties between Bahrain and Palestine, particularly in the parliamentary domain. He commended the depth of the bilateral relations and wished the ambassador continued success in his future endeavours.
On his part, Ambassador Abdel Qader commended Bahrain's progress, describing it as a model of sustained economic, commercial, cultural, and parliamentary advancement. He expressed pride in his diplomatic service in Bahrain, highlighting the Kingdom’s strong record in coexistence, tolerance, and global human fraternity.
