Electricity Minister attends opening of World Utilities Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 27 (BNA): Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, attended the opening of the World Utilities Congress 2025, held under the theme "Innovating for a New Age of Utilities" in Abu Dhabi.
The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council of the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of ministers, government representatives, and industry leaders from around the world.
Minister Humaidan emphasised the importance of the congress as a key platform for shaping the future of the utilities sector globally. He noted that it serves as a starting point for presenting innovative solutions to address key challenges, including digital transformation, safe energy transmission, storage technologies, water security, and future investment opportunities in the sector.
He added that participation in the event offers a chance to explore the latest global technologies in the utilities sector, showcase the Kingdom of Bahrain’s successful experience, and exchange expertise with international participants.
This year’s edition features over 18,000 specialists and international experts. Around 500 speakers are participating in 120 sessions, which aim to highlight modern technologies and explore strategic partnership opportunities to support a more sustainable future for the global utilities sector.
