HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister attends the ninth edition of the Prime Minister’s Award for Journalism

Manama, June 1 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today attended the ninth edition of the Prime Minister’s Award for Journalism, held under his patronage.
His Royal Highness affirmed that the national press is a key partner in the Kingdom’s development, highlighting its role in supporting and promoting Bahrain’s achievements across various sectors in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also praised the prominent role played by the Kingdom’s journalists in reporting national efforts, building community awareness, and conveying messages that serve national goals as part of Bahrain's comprehensive development.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad honoured the recipients of the 2025 Prime Minister's Press Award, as follows:
Issa Al Shaiji, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ayam newspaper, was awarded with the 2025 Journalism Personality Award
Dr Abdulla Ahmed Al-Madani, columnist from Al Ayam newspaper, was awarded the Best Column Award
Ali Al Fardan, journalist from Al Bilad Press, was awarded the Best Investigative Journalism Award
Mohammed Qasim Al-Saei, journalist from from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper, was awarded the Best Interview Award
Sultan Jassim Al Haddad, photographer from Bahrain News Agency, was awarded the Best Photography Award
Faisal Mohammed Al-Ali from Al Watan newspaper, was awarded the Best Press Institution’s Website or Electronic Account Award
Ali Abdulkhaleq from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper, was awarded the Best Visual Journalistic Content Award
Jamil Ahmed Sarhan from Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper, was awarded the Best Infographic Report Award
Amal Al Aradi, journalist from the "Womens" column at Al Bilad newspaper, was awarded Best Newspaper Niche Page or Supplement Award
students heading the journalistic project "Turathna/Our Heritage" at the Media and Public Relations Department of The Gulf University, were awarded the Best University Student Journalism Project Award
His Royal Highness extended his congratulations to all the recipients of the awards, wishing them continued success and excellence, and encouraging them to build on their efforts to further contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development and prosperity.
His Royal Highness went on to reiterate the vital role of the media in advancing development priorities, emphasising that supporting the Bahraini media sector and ensuring they have the tools to perform with efficiency and professionalism remains a firm priority. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the dedication, responsibility, and integrity demonstrated by the Kingdom’s media professionals through their impactful reporting and voicing the aspirations of citizens.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad also highlighted the critical role of the national press through its investigative and oversight functions in supporting the Kingdom’s development efforts. His Royal Highness affirmed the ongoing commitment to strengthening the role of Bahrain’s national media in serving the nation and its citizens, reinforcing the foundations of the Kingdom, and shaping a brighter future.
For his part, HE Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, the Minister of Information, expressed his gratitude for His Majesty the King’s support of the national press, which reflects a steadfast belief in the media as an essential partner in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development.
His Excellency expressed his deepest gratitude for His Royal Highness’s patronage of the event, held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Bahrain Journalists Association, and for honouring the award winners.
HE Al-Noaimi expressed his appreciation for the continued support that the Bahraini press receives from His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributes to the advancement of journalism and reinforces its pivotal role in supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development.
His Excellency congratulated the award winners, noting that this recognition serves as a motivation to renew their commitment to innovation and collaboration in contributing to Bahrain’s ongoing development.
The winners of the Prime Minister's Award for Journalism expressed their sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his steadfast support of the Kingdom’s media sector.
