International Children's Day Marked by Children with Disability in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A meeting of children of disability took place at gymnasium of the extracurricular sports school in Taedonggang District, Pyongyang on Sunday to mark the June 1 International Children's Day.
Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, children with disabilities, children of Tongmun Kindergarten No. 2 in Taedonggang District, nurses, kindergarten teachers and parents.
Speeches were made at the meeting, followed by colorful art performance and sports and amusement games of disabled children and kindergarten children.
Put on the stage were various numbers including poem and song "We Yearn for Marshal Kim Jong Un". The faces of children were full of joy and optimism growing happily under the warm care of the motherly Party.
The lively images of the children who displayed competitive spirit in the sports and amusement games divided into "squirrel" and "hedgehog" teams and their parents' enthusiastic cheers added to the pleasure of the holiday. -0-
