Tourism Minister meets Russian Economic Development Minister

Manama, June 2 (BNA): Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, met with Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting was attended by Sarah Ahmed Buhejji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.

Minister Al Sairafi noted that ties between Bahrain and Russia are growing rapidly, reflecting both countries' commitment to enhancing cooperation, especially in tourism.

The meeting focused on means to strengthen ties, especially in tourism, through joint promotion, events, and programmes. They also discussed cooperation in business tourism, exhibitions, and conferences.

On his part, Reshetnikov commended the strong relations between Russia and Bahrain and noted the progress in Bahrain’s tourism sector. He expressed Russia’s interest in further cooperation in tourism and other areas to benefit both countries.
