Many Schools Win Honored Red Flag after Ninth Congress of KCU
Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- More than 60 schools have won Honored Red Flag (including twice and thrice) after the Ninth Congress of the Korean Children's Union amid the growing enthusiasm of millions of KCU members to glorify the proud history and tradition of the Korean children's movement generation after generation and prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries boundlessly loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Kim Jong Un saw to it that the Ninth Congress of the KCU was convened in December 2022, and sent to the participants an important letter "March towards the Future of a Powerful Country under the Unfurled Flag of the Children's Union" clearly indicating the orientation and ways for bringing about a new turn in the Korean children's movement.
All schools across the country have conducted in a substantial way the work for building up the Children's Union organizations into lively living organizations and preparing schoolchildren to be reliable successors to the revolution in close combination with the movement for winning the Honored Red Flag.
In those days, more than 610 schoolchildren became winners of Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize and Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize and many exemplary KCU members were produced. They have made positive efforts to become true members of the Children's Union who are sincerely grateful to the Party and the country and can repay them in practice, though they are young. -0-
