Projects for Expanding Tide Embankment and Stone-covering Hastened in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Projects for expanding tide embankment and stone-covering have been conducted at the tideland reclamation sites across the DPRK.
In May alone, servicepersons and builders covered an area of more than 102 000 square meters with stones and conducted the project for expanding tide embankment of 1.24 million cubic meters.
Servicepersons in charge of the projects for the third and fifth districts of the Taedongman Tideland, the Ongjin Tideland and the second district at the third stage of the Kwaksan Tideland completed the first damming projects and are directing their efforts to stone-covering project.
Those in charge of the projects for the Haebang Tideland and the first district of the Phungjong Tideland transplanted many stones in a month by operating construction machines and vehicles at full capacity and are hastening the stone-covering projects.
At the construction site for the first district of the Aedo Tideland, builders raised the drilling speed and introduced a rational blasting method, thus speeding up the stone-covering project.
Builders in charge of the fourth district project for the Taedongman Tideland carried out the first damming project at 87 percent and are pushing ahead with the project for filling up the embankment with earth.
Thanks to the efforts of the servicepersons and builders, the construction speed is increasing day by day. -0-
