Foreign Ministry Chief of Human Rights participates in conference on women’s rights in Arab Region

Malaga, June 12 (BNA): Dr. Arwa Hassan Al Sayed, Chief of Human Rights Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in the conference on women’s rights in the Arab region and the world, organised by the University of Málaga and the Government of Andalusia in the Kingdom of Spain.
Dr. Al Sayed delivered a presentation outlining the key achievements of Bahraini women during the reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She noted the ongoing support provided to Bahraini women, which has contributed to measurable progress in various sectors. Dr. Al Sayed also reviewed the role of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King, in advancing the position of Bahraini women at both the regional and international levels.
Dr. Al Sayed further noted the active participation of Bahraini women in employment, education, and numerous other vital sectors, highlighting the Kingdom’s distinction in achieving high rates of women’s participation across various domains compared to many other countries. She highlighted that such participation reflects the visionary leadership of Bahrain in advancing women and safeguarding their rights, as well as a firm belief in their pivotal role in building and advancing society.
The attendees commended Bahrain’s pioneering experience in the protection of women’s rights, expressing their appreciation for the efforts made to enhance the role of women in society. They noted that this reflects Bahrain’s commitment to universal human rights principles and the empowerment of women.
