Bahrain Foreign Minister, Kuwaiti counterpart hold telephone call

Manama, June 14 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait.

The ministers discussed bilateral relations, cooperation and coordination, as well as means to enhance joint efforts across various domains to serve shared interests.

They also reviewed developments in the region and addressed the ongoing military escalation between Israel and Iran and its implications for regional security and stability. They stressed the importance of a unified Gulf position, the need to intensify efforts to de-escalate tensions, halt further escalation, and the importance of continuing US-Iran negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear programme in order to preserve regional peace and stability.
