New Production Line of Active Quicklime Established at Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex

 Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- A new production line of active quicklime was established at the roasting furnace workshop of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK and started its operation.
The production line has mass-produced active quicklime by using limestone and coal abundant in the country.
On this basis, the complex has established a technical process for improving the quality of steel with the use of active quicklime. It made it possible to increase the quality and productivity of iron and steel while saving manpower, electric power and fuel than before. -0-
