Bahrain wins “Leading Destination for Events and Celebrations” Award at WOW Asia 2025

Mumbai, June 22 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced that the Kingdom of Bahrain has been awarded the title of “Leading Destination for Events and Celebrations” at the 16th edition of the WOW Asia 2025 Awards Ceremony, held in India.

The event is regarded as one of the region’s most prominent gatherings dedicated to leisure tourism, business tourism, social events, and the wedding sectors. It brings together a distinguished group of decision-makers and industry experts from across Asia and the world, celebrating excellence and innovation in event planning and execution.

The BTEA’s participation formed part of its ongoing efforts to promote the Kingdom as an ideal destination for hosting Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). The Authority highlighted Bahrain’s distinctive tourism and cultural offerings, including its advanced infrastructure, modern facilities, rich heritage sites, and picturesque natural landscapes, all of which position Bahrain as a preferred venue for a wide range of events, particularly weddings.

The BTEA also showcased a selection of the Kingdom’s leading luxury hotels and resorts, known for their high-end services and state-of-the-art venues specifically designed to host weddings and special occasions. These include Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort, and The Royal Saray Resort, among other destinations that combine luxury, exclusivity, and authentic Bahraini charm.

Dr. Ali Foulad, Tourism Advisor to the BTEA, stated that the award highlights Bahrain’s regional leadership and supports its strategic goal of becoming a key hub for events, backed by strong infrastructure and distinctive venues.
